Experience

After five years with Desjardins Group, I went back to school and became a lawyer in 1994. I founded my own practice, where I worked for eight years before joining a large law firm on the South Shore. After more than 25 years of practicing family law, I decided to focus on family mediation as part of the CHABOT team of attorney-mediators in October 2020.

In addition to being a certified family mediator, my litigation experience and accounting background allow me to understand the challenges couples face during a breakup or a change in their circumstances.

Whether discussing their issues as parents or as former spouses, I am an attentive listener and work with my clients to find a negotiated solution in the best interest of the entire family, whether or not there are dependent children involved. I can assist couples in their negotiations regarding child custody as well as the division of property and calculations related to the family patrimony and the community property regime.

I taught at the École du Barreau from 2007 to 2017. I give lectures on family law in various regions of Quebec and have contributed to updating legal doctrine and authored articles on family law from 2008 to 2026.

Throughout my years of practice, I have been involved in several boards of directors, organizations, foundations, and professional committees, either as a member or as chair. Notably, I was a founding member of the Longueuil Young Bar Association in 1995, President of the Longueuil Bar Association (2003–2004), a director of a Caisse Desjardins (2003–2014), and Chair of the Committee on Women in the Profession of the Barreau du Québec (2014–2018). I have served on boards of directors or parent committees for a daycare center, a youth center, an elementary school, and a high school. From 2022 to 2024, I had the honor of serving as a director of my professional association.

Since March 2023, I have been the firm’s managing director.

I occasionally remain available for consultations or private family mediation cases.
